Approach
Creating a new bold + edgy branding for BABOON, which is located in De Jordaan, in Amsterdam and opened a second showroom in Rotterdam. They design kitchens that fit perfectly in your interior by using the frames of IKEA that will combine with their own collection.
The Brand
In collaboration with an interior designer, BABOON creates a kitchen tailored to you and your interior. We provide the design and visible components, while you acquire the base cabinets from IKEA.
Graphical
language
Every kitchen is different — and so is everyones taste. The Graphical language of BABOON consists over a range of kitchen fronts that forms a functional part to the identity, that is created by singular lines and circles that represents its character.
Brand
Recognition
The logo of BABOON is placed in many different ways, that corresponds with the layout of kitchens. The broad colourpalette is inspired by ingredients and objects from the kitchen: from cuttingboards, essentials, to your daily greens. All colours work seamlessly together on its own, or as a combination.
The Grid System
With BABOON's visual graphical language that is created by kitchen fronts, we use this throughout the entire identity. This system forms the foundation of every graphic — digitally or printed matter, with every size included.
Brand Book
A styleguide that contains all rules to use the Brand Identity correctly — Colour use, typography do's and don'ts and how to use the grid system with every graphic the brand wants to create.
Graphics
The brand identity is a playground with all their assets, that bursts of excitement. Combining both typefaces, all colours and bright imagery creates a thumb-stopping graphic everytime.
Branded Tape
All kitchen items are packed securely with BABOON's branded tape in the colour Grapefruit Red on FSC certified recycled material. Clients excitement already starts at the frontdoor.
Webdesign
The new BABOON website presents a graphic story which fits seamlessly with the brand’s core values — Bold, Edgy and playful.
Homepage
The Grid system is used as layers on every page, that seperates different elements on the entire website. All colours are used to highlight, attract customers to specific elements.
Menu fold-out
The Grid system folds out as a kitchen front from the top of the webpage that shows the menu.
Footer
The user interface creates a unique experience througout the entire website, with the footer included.
Mobile
The experience continues for all mobile users, as the grid systems divides all elements to have a clear look between all the information that is shown.
Socials
We bring the fun into their social media channels, weekly: Sharing neighbourhood tips, BABOON Market items that are on sale, a peek in someone's kitchen with our At Home segment and showcase designs.
