Approach
Gibbon is the easy kitchen store, inspired by the convenience stores of the '90s, blended with today's modern touch. We did it all for Gibbon: branding, web design, and art direction for the photography.
Graphical
language
The colors, typography, shapes, and photography come together to create a retrofuturistic look. The simplicity ensures that each visual feels friendly and approachable.
Brand
Recognition
The Gibbon logo is the focal point of the identity, combined with a mix of two fonts. ABC Repro brings simplicity with its retro feel, while GT Alpina enhances it. The colors are soft yet striking, creating a perfect harmony together.
Art Direction
WiNKYFACE was responsible for the art direction and photography. Together with photographer Michèle Margot, we extended the identity through hard-flash photography, reinforcing the brand’s distinctive style.
The Shoot
We captured the kitchens in Gibbon's warehouse to blend the industrial atmosphere with Gibbon's vibrant, pop-y colours.
Photography
We also photographed the entire collection to further emphasize the simplicity, clearly showcasing the fronts available for your kitchen within five weeks.
Webdesign
The Gibbon webshop is the flagship store for the brand. We designed it using the e-commerce platform Shopify.
Homepage
The webshop features a fixed menu on the left side for easy navigation.
Product Detail Page
The kitchen fronts come in many sizes, which can be a hassle. We aim to simplify this process with a user-friendly selection menu.
Brand Book
A styleguide that contains all rules to use the Brand Identity correctly — Colour use, typography do's and don'ts and how to use the grid system with every graphic the brand wants to create.
